Auction Block Clerk

North Toronto Auction is Canada’s Largest Independent Auction strategically located in Central Ontario. Specializing in both dealer and public auctions, we are currently looking for a Part-time Auction Block Clerk to assist in continuing our rapid growth. North Toronto Auction has been recognized two years in a row as one of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies by Canadian Business Magazine.

The responsibilities of this position include administration in the auction arena to ensure auction sales are recorded accurately in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be organized, possess exceptional multi-tasking skills, have a great work ethic, have experience with various computer systems, and be comfortable with the physical labours that the job can possess. This is a Part-Time position where candidates must be available to work on auction days, which are Fridays and Saturdays, during regular office hours.

Industrial Equipment Auction Representative

This is a full time position with unlimited earning potential. The Industrial Equipment Auction Representative will identify innovative ways to promote North Toronto Auction and our services, while building relationships with customers and achieving strategic objectives while working with equipment dealers, OEM’s, finance companies, associations, construction, utility, maintenance , municipalities and rental companies. Duties to include: (but not limited to)

• Exceed or meet personal and company sales targets while demonstrating a solid customer focus
• Initiate and leverage sales opportunities with existing prospective customers while developingand maintaining key clients
•Develop a strong service knowledge as well as customer knowledge
•Develop new accounts through analyzing, prospecting, exploring & networking.
•Provide detailed and regular updates on sales activities to senior management
•Provide feedback from clients in order to assess possible improvements to existing service
•Resolve challenging situations with empathy and sincerity
•Provide superior customer service
•Participate in industry events
•Work in the office on pre-assigned days, Auction Days (Weekly - including 2 Saturday’s per Month) as well as attend all sales team meetings (weekly)

If you have the following:

•Background in sales in the Auction Industry
*Experience with light to heavy duty construction, maintenance and transportation equipment
•Passion to turn prospects into customers
•Self-starter with a positive attitude
•Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with customers
•Strong record tracking of work with various levels of each account through sales management
•Driven to achieve sales quotas
•Ability to work in a multitasking environment
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Available to travel throughout the province
•Work independently with minimal supervision
•Maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and must provide a driver’s abstract annually

Lot Supervisor

North Toronto Auction in Innisfil Ontario is looking for a Full‐Time Lot Supervisor. The responsibilities of this position include organizing the yard for auction day, car jockeying, and condition report writing and readying auction vehicles in preparation for sale. The job requires knowledge of computers and hand held devices. The successful candidate will coordinate amongst various departments and report directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be able to handle the physical labours of this position and will be comfortable working outdoors in all elements, possess a great work ethic and work in a fast paced team environment. Successful candidate will have between 10‐15 employees reporting to them directly and must be a confident leader. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and operate vehicles with a manual transmission. Experience is required. Salary will be based on experience. Applicants must have full “G” driver’s licence and clean driver abstract at minimum. Machinery Operation will be considered an asset.

North Toronto Auction in Innisfil Ontario is looking for Full‐Time Vehicle Jockeys. The responsibilities include car jockeying and readying auction vehicles in preparation for sale. The successful candidate will be able to handle the physical labours of this position and will be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must also possess a great work ethic and work safely and cooperatively with a team in a fast paced team environment. . Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and operate vehicles with a manual transmission. This is an entry level position. Experience is an asset but not required. Apprentice Automotive Service Technician

North Toronto Auction in Innisfil Ontario is looking for Apprentice Automotive Service Technician. The successful candidate will be a motivated, hard-working individual who can thrive in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities can include: diagnose, repair, and complete approved service on vehicles under the supervision of a Licensed Technician. Advise on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements. Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis. Operate vehicles in a clean and safe manner. Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries. Maintain work and shop area in a neat and clean manner and account for any/all Business-owned tools and equipment at all times. Wear and maintain any personal protective equipment required and follow all health & safety procedures. Qualifications: Registered Apprentice status (2nd or 3rd year preferred) in the Automotive Service Technician trade. A good working knowledge of English (speaking, writing, reading & comprehension) is required. Excellent customer service skills and a team player. A valid driver's license and a good driving record. You own a set of automotive hand tools and tool storage cases. The ability to push, pull, drag, and lift heavy items is required. WHIMIS. Valid G driver’s license. Familiar with Mitchell.
