Factory 289 now boasts a 351 bored, balanced and blueprinted to a 417 stroker with 525HP. Built by Barrie Poole, a member of the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame. The engine is equipped with 10.1 compression pistons, a hydraulic roller cam shaft assembly and roller rocker arms were also installed. The engine was also equipped with a pair of aluminum cylinder heads with Edelbrock aluminum intake and a Holly sniper EFI. Full tubular headers and full length duel exhaust. Also with electrically actuated cutouts for the exhaust. Paired with a 4 speed top loader. This car went through a complete rotisserie restoration in 2010.
